Ford Under The T Make

Ford Under The T Make

Henry Ford who’s Ford Motor Company became the world’s third largest car producer, is the personification of the American dream. He was the ideal self-made man, full of ideas, and he designed nineteen various models over five years.

Success came in 1908 with the Ford Model T. More than sixteen million pieces were produced worldwide, the demand sometimes exceeded the offer, which meant that Ford did not need any advertising between 1917 and 1923. Factories were opened worldwide, and Ford bought the upscale Lincoln make in 1922, which would soon offer famous models such as the Zephyr and the Continental.

In 1922, Ford acquired Lincoln, known for its high-society models. When Ford introduced the Lincoln Zephyr in 1936, it was a breakthrough in the history of the make, which was limited to prestige cars only until that time. Zephyr, equipped with many elements originating from Ford, had to convince the general public.

The Lincoln Zephyr was less elitist than its predecessors but still an elegant car of high class, particularly like this coupe version with four doors, which opened in opposition. The law of aerodynamics was achieved with the Zephyr model by the Ford concern under the management of Henry’s son, Edsel Ford. From that time, the design of the concern’s cars would be based on them.

In 1927, the Ford A followed the famous Ford T and in 1932, Ford was the first producer offering an eight-cylinder V8 V-engine. In the nineteen-forties, the company went through a difficult era when Edsel Ford died and Henry was made to return to the company. In 1945, between the revival of the make and the decentralization of production, Henry Ford II, the grandson of the founder, joined the company and guided the make back in the right direction. The first indication of the revival was the introduction of the beautiful Thunderbird, the rival of Chevrolet Corvette.

The success continued with the arrival of the genius that was the Mustang in 1964 when six million pieces were sold. The GT40 model represented the make at races, which was the area that Henry Ford had the heart beat Ferrari in Le Mans. The Ford name also excelled in Formula 1 with the fantastic eight-cylinder V-engine Ford Cosworth V8, assembled in the late sixties to the early eighties for nearly all models and provided 176 Grand Prix victories.
