Car Marketing and Horse Power

Car Marketing And Horse Power

The producers of prestige makes underwent an unpleasant trend in the seventies, but the marketing and the policy of amalgamating with the large corporations saved them. Luxury cars and Gran Tourismo category cars created an added value to their offer, based on mass production.

Fiat began the game when it amalgamated with Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Ferrari and later with Maserati. For the latter two, the corporation provides the money to develop their model series and to produce particularly exceptional models, especially Ferrari with the F40, F50, 456GT, the Enzo and the best selling model of the amazing F430 and recently the extraordinary 599 GTB Fiorano model, of which the twelve-cylinder V-engine’s thrust never ends! Italy – the land of automobile dreams!

The Volkswagen/Audi were represented by the Audi TT model in the field of sports car concern took advantage of the opportunity to enrich its offering and successively acquired some very prestigious jewels of the automotive industry, such as Bugatti, Lamborghini and Bentley. The rewards are exceptional cars.

In Germany too, BMW reinforced its position by acquiring Rolls Royce and Mini in addition to its excellent M-series. The new version of the Mini has not been launched yet but we know the unbelievable Rolls-Royce Phantom that was launched in 2004. It is a massive and spectacular car, weighs almost 2.5 tons and can accelerate up to 240 km/hour (150 mph). The interior has a marvelous aroma of hand-sewn leather and refined nood. A real luxury!

The BMW Motor sport division hit the market with the latest version of the M5 model. Under the hood is the dreaded ten-cylinder 5 Liters V-engine with 507 HP, of such a character that could not have been is predicted now. The mythical limit of 100 HP/liter was humbled!

And what about Ford, who successively saved Jaguar and then Aston-Martin, while pleasing English fans? Mercedes came with better and better models and today offers the wonderful CLS 63 sedan with its eight-cylinder V-engine of 6.2 liters. An exceptional market apparition is still the independent Porsche, which has added the new Cayman and Carrera GT models, probably the best super car today, in addition to its latest 911 version, the 977.

The media reports that this is perhaps the best GT of today. The Carrera GT, containing fifty years of experience of this German-based automobile sports producer, is the strongest Porsche has ever produced.
