Car Spain

Car Spain

Today, the end of the nineteen-twenties and the beginning of the nineteen-thirties is considered to be the golden age of the automobile. In addition to cars from strong industrial automobile companies, the treasury of the automobile history contains some masterpieces of Spanish car.

An example is the Swiss Hispano-Suiza established in 1904 in Spain. These models by Marc Birkigt quickly become very successful. These times favored the super cars and directly in the center of this big company fight was the unusual Type 68 of Hispano-Suiza. The luxury and powerful Model 68 was also at high technological level due to the synchronized three-speed gear (which was rare during these times) and the servo-brake developed by Birkigh, which was particularly useful when braking a two-ton car at the maximum speed of 160 km/h (100mph).

Twenty years ago, Spain introduced the Pegaso Z102, which belonged to trucks, as an alternative to Ferrari vehicles. However, only one hundred of these were produced because Pegaso was inclined towards elitism. This action ended in 1957.
