Rolls Royce Silver Ghost

Rolls Royce Silver Ghost

The Rolls Royce 40/50 HP originated in 1906 when the companies of Charles Rolls and Henry Royce amalgamated.  This model of dream, offering legendary comfort and reliability without any competitor at that time, remains in the background of the reputation of an exceptional car.

The mechanical aristocrat and its sealed engine with a lifetime warranty contributed to developing the legend that is Rolls Royce.  The legendary 40/50 HP model was officially named the Silver Ghost at the end of its production when it took the name of the soft top version, the so-called “King of Belgians”, which earned the name “Silver Ghost” thanks to its silver varnish.

Is it a jewel or an engine?  Hard to decide when we see a Rolls Royce Silver Ghost.  The 40/50 HP model was developed concurrently with the make.  The goal was to attack the market for prestige cars.  Its production quality set new standards for the automotive industry.  This wonderful automobile antique is able to exceed 128 km/h (80mph) and won many races.

The Spirit of Ecstasy, a famous symbol, decorating the radiator cap of the 40/50 Hp model, renamed the Silver Ghost: it is the nickname of this unique model, the thirteenth in a row, with a soft-top body.  This model started the legend of Rolls Royce.
