Ferrari

Ferrari, The Unrivaled Fame

After twenty years of Enzo Ferrari’s racing under the flag of Scuderia Ferrari in Alfa Romeo, he established AAC (Auto-Avio Construzioni) in 1940. Due to the war, he first produced airplane engines and then processing machines.

In 1947, the very first car to bear his name, the 125 S, was created in a new factory close to Modena in Fioran. On the sides, the car had the world famous emblem of rearing horse shown in the cockpit of a World War 1 fighter piloted by the excellent Francesco Barracao. The black horse on a yellow background, the Modena colors, was the talisman of the Countess Baraccao, the mother of the dead pilot. The 125 S model was successful during its second participation at the races. More success followed and the first customers began to knock on the door.

Ferrari started up and since that time, has always produced limited series of sports cars and manually built gems that embellish today’s auctions. Ferrari liked the atmosphere of the racetracks, where he underwent several dramas and sent his drivers and cars to conquer the world. The man who once said, “Ferrari is not for buying, just for dreaming,” developed the most famous brand in the world over four decades.

Despite the interest of Ford, the brand is now in the hands of Fiat but the principle was never given up. The “ingenier” who died in 1988, has many followers who continue to combine art with the latest technology. Ferrari, who loved racing, would be very proud to see the success of Michael Schumacher, the five-old world champion under the Ferrari flag.

The Ferrari Dino 246 GT model was special for Enzo Ferrari. It bore the name of his son, Alfred, known as Dino, who died prematurely. The car is equipped with a six-cylinder V-engine designed by Dino. The Dino was the very first road Ferrari model with the engine in the center. Thanks to this structure, it maneuvers particularly well.
